The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations, located in southwestern Kenya. Covering 1,510 square kilometers, it is renowned for its golden-hued plains, diverse wildlife, and the Great Wildebeest Migration—one of the most spectacular natural events on Earth. The Mara is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), alongside cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and an impressive array of bird species.

The Great Wildebeest Migration (July–October): Witness over two million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles crossing from the Serengeti into the Mara, braving crocodile-infested waters.
Big Cat Sightings: The Mara boasts one of the highest densities of lions in Africa, along with cheetahs and leopards.
Scenic Landscapes: Rolling savannahs, acacia-dotted plains, and dramatic river crossings make for breathtaking views.
Hot Air Balloon Safari: Experience the Mara from above at sunrise, offering a unique perspective on the wildlife below. (not included in the itinerary price)
Maasai Cultural Experience – Visit a Maasai village to learn about their traditions.
Year-Round Game Viewing: While the migration is a highlight, the Mara offers excellent wildlife sightings throughout the year, including elephants, giraffes, and rare black rhinos

Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara

Morning (6:00 AM): Depart from Nairobi and drive through the Great Rift Valley, stopping for breathtaking views.

Midday (12:30 PM): Arrive at Masai Mara, check into your lodge/camp, and enjoy lunch.

Afternoon (3:00 PM – 6:30 PM): Embark on your first game drive, spotting lions, elephants, giraffes, and possibly a cheetah on the hunt.

Evening (7:30 PM): Return to camp for dinner and relaxation under the Mara sky.

Day 2: Masai Mara to Nairobi

Early Morning (6:00 AM – 9:00 AM): Head out for a sunrise game drive, the best time to see predators in action.

Mid-Morning (9:30 AM): Breakfast at the lodge, followed by optional Maasai village visit for cultural immersion.

Late Morning (11:00 AM): Begin the return journey to Nairobi, stopping for lunch en route.

Afternoon (4:30 PM – 5:00 PM): Arrive back in Nairobi.
